The much-anticipated Symbios 6th Pow-woW 2025 National Level Youth Festival commenced with a grand inaugural programme at the Amphitheatre, Tetso College. The event brought together students from various colleges across the North-East, along with faculty, and esteemed guests to celebrate youth, culture, and excellence. The festival will be a week-long celebration, running from March 3 to March 7, 2025. It will also feature departmental festivals, including the Lit Fest – ‘Magnum Opus’, Psyche Fest – ‘Eunoia’, Radiance 2.0 – ‘Excellence Through Innovation’, and Ling Fest – ‘Connecting Generations’.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Col. Lovlesh Panghal, CO 1 Nagaland Girls Bn NCC Kohima, as the Special Guest. In his keynote address, Col. Lovlesh Panghal emphasised on the significance of ‘perspective’ and the understanding of opportunities in the socio-economic cultural aspect. He motivated the young minds to develop competency because this age is vital and there is no space for mediocrity. Additionally, he also encouraged the gathering to maximise the use of their time for the next five days, making the most of it.

Dr. Hewasa L Khing, Principal of Tetso College, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and expressed her delight in hosting more than thirty diverse institutions from beyond the state of Nagaland. She highlighted that Nagaland has the potential to achieve the highest standards in all fields; and encouraged the students to broaden their horizons, learn, and compete with talent on a global scale. She also underscored the importance of inculcating the mission of Tetso College: Empower People Towards Life Long Excellence.

An essential segment of the ceremony was the Oath-Taking, led by Dr. Rosy Tep, Vice Principal of Tetso College, wherein students pledged their commitment to the values of excellence, integrity, and camaraderie. Additionally, Dr Rajesh Tanti, Fest Convenor, underscored the significance of Pow-woW and its evolution over the years, while also
expressing appreciation to the event’s sponsors. The inaugural programme of Symbios 6th Pow-woW 2025 National Level Youth festival witnessed two performances by the Tetso Choir, and a special performance by Mr. Kitoka Mulu (BMus 2nd Semester). The inaugural programme was hosted by Chisholi H Chisho (BA 4th Semester, English) and Tokhuo Humtsoe (MA 4th Semester, English).
