She encouraged students to look beyond the curriculum, to engage in critical discourse, and to build a supportive community within and beyond the campus. “You are not just here to earn a degree,” she remarked, “but to shape your character and to prepare yourselves as future leaders and thinkers of our society.”

A video presentation featuring messages from the senior students offered the newcomers a glimpse into campus life, blending words of advice with a friendly welcome. Speaking on behalf of the incoming class, Imsuienla Jamir from MA Political Science 1st Semester expressed gratitude and excitement. She articulated the collective enthusiasm of the freshers to contribute positively to the Tetso College community and to strive for academic and personal success.

The spiritual aspect of the programme was underscored by a soulful presentation of The Lord’s Prayer by Vetolu Rhakho from the Department of Music.

The highlight of the event was the address by the Special Guest, Er. Meshenlo Kath. Speaking to the gathered students and faculty, he challenged students to be adaptable in their learning, to actively seek out how their theoretical knowledge can be applied to real-world contexts in the state of Nagaland and beyond. He also emphasized the importance of integrity, perseverance, and proactive learning, preparing the students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern professional landscape.

The highlight of the informal session was the much-anticipated PG Mr. & Miss Fresher 2025 contest, which showcased the poise, confidence, and personality of the new entrants.
